The West End office was set up 18 months ago as a new office within a well-established regional firm and offers a huge amount of potential for the candidate and their role to grow and evolve alongside the expansion of the successful London office. They are seeking an experience legal secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support to one partner and one / two fee earners and assist with the smooth running of the office. Duties include:
- Effective diary management, taking into account of Fee Earners’ workloads
- Helping to develop systems and processes for the growing London office.
- Liaison with clients to organise meetings etc. and pro-actively deal with non-legal client enquiries.
- Providing assistance in the delivery of marketing communications, and recording all business development meetings in our CRM system
- Helping to implement our marketing strategy by conducting some market research for events and publications
- Organising events
- Creating typed work of a high quality, formatting in accordance with house style, at high speed, with accuracy
- Maintaining a high level of proficiency in core IT applications including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Adopting a pro-active approach and working with Fee Earners effectively, to maintain regular file management, to ensure all files are up to date, closed and archived, as appropriate
- Preparing bills as required, with supervision
- Preparing AML documentation with supervision and obtaining relevant documentation from clients in a timely manner
- Carrying out conflict searches
- Submitting expense claims
- With access to the firms legal resources, undertaking initial legal research with supervision from fee earners
- Some paralegal tasks carried out with supervision
The ideal candidate will have previous legal PA/EA experience. Have a pro-active attitude and not afraid to use their initiative in a ne w, exciting and sometimes high pressure office environment. Excellent telephone manner, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent secretarial skills, a keen eye for detail, high proficiency in all areas of Microsoft office.
